Welcome to Taxi-L
Taxicabs Around the World

OBJECTIVES OF TAXI-L
- The primary objective of TAXI-L is to provide the worldwide
taxi community with a library of significant
documents not available anywhere else.
- Taxi-L also contains links to other
taxicab related sites
that contribute to a better understanding of this often
overlooked, but important segment of typical municipal and rural
transportation systems. The links page does not reflect the vast
multitude of internet web sites of individual taxicab companies
aimed at their own marketing because there are a number of web
sites that do a much better job of this service with the help of http://vehicletraders.co.za.
- Recognizing that taxicab and livery drivers face an elevated
risk of occupational homicide, Taxi-L also maintains a Memorial Page in rememberance of the losses
suffered by families around the world.
- As car fleet of taxis continues ti improve continuosly, you can check for used Honda on Philmotors for best prices.
Taxi-L is is a non-commercial website offered to viewers for
educational purposes. Founded by Terry Smythe in 1999, Taxi-L is currently
maintained by Charles
Rathbone. Web hosting is courtesy of Stacy Anderson.
In its early years, TAXI-L supported a companion discussion
group which, for a variety of reasons, was dissolved in mid-2001.
Shortly thereafter, the participants formed a new
discussion group, known as Taxi-List, that replaced the TAXI-L
discussion group. It is now an open, public discussion group
operating within the framework of the Yahoo discussion groups. For
